... for a country that was the brunt of your country's horrendous actions?

Could you be a 'traitor' to your country?

Please, do not misunderstand... this is a simple hypothetical question... I am NOT referring to any present situation in the world... I'd prefer you to keep it hypothetical.
Peace

Most definitely if my country was starting wars with other countries and was at fault, then yes. But it would depend on what the other country was willing to do with that information.

If it was to create peace, then yes. More war, no.

edit: someone said the would never sell out America because its a great country etc etc, but if being in the hypothetical situation you have put forwards, then America wouldn't really be a good country - so it would therefore be easier to be a "traitor"

What if I lived in a country that had access to nuclear weapons and for some reason i knew they were going to bomb another country (that did nothing wrong). I'm supposed to sit there and say nothing while hundreds of people get killed in a country that did nothing.

The hypothetical question is theoretically impossible. Since this country is a democracy and we ... even though we are the largest, richest & powerful country in the world ... would never be allowed an act that would be described as horrendous or despicable. Hypothetically the US is the watch dog of the world. ( could be said that it is in reality )The entire government system would have to fail from every aspect. From the governors to the United Nations. I agree with ? was that said if it meant that countless lives of innocent being saved from innialation ... Like Hitler did ... my answer would be yes.

Absolutely not. Two wrongs will never make a right, and even though in your hypothetical situation, my country is doing terrible things, that still doesn't justify me personally going out and doing something just as horrendous. Not even to aid the country that was being hurt by my country's actions.

I would protest against my country's government, and the decisions made by that government; I would assist in charity programs to help the citizens of the country being harmed, but I wouldn't do anything illegal.

Depends on the other country. If my country was horrendous and the other country was Democratic and willing to offer me citizenship afterward, then yes.

As much as I dislike the current goverment, I would never sell out this country. The US is a great counrty because of the people here.
