I can't do much outside of firefox. Whatever I do, spyware and adware pop up, especially stuff about zedo.com and winantispyware pro 2006 or 2007. I've done spybot, AVG antimalware, McAfee, etc., all on safe mode and nothing works.
What else should I do? Its relentless. Firefox seems to stabilize it but it still pops up sometimes.

Winantivirus and its scam advertising and the other malware (Amaena popups) that is bundled with it, is often caused by the Trojan Vundo, also known as Virtumonde.
Most "all-purpose" anti-malware products such as AVG, Norton, Spybot S & D, etc. cannot remove or even detect Vundo, as it you may have found out.
VundoFix.exe has become the standard removal tool for Vundo / Virtumondo.

Superantispyware well known to find spyware missed by all others. You will get auto updates. Download their free version from http://www.superantispyware.com
A2Squared out of Austria. Protects you from rogue dialers, worms, keyloggers, malware, spyware trace spyware, trace cookies and rogue cookies. http://www.emsisoft.com You will have to update on a manual basis with the free version.

I use spyware doctor and am happy with that. don't use spysweeper, it hijacks a lot of stuff.
