No. But you may want to add salt. Mollies are more brackish water fish.

Mollies are tolerant of a variety of water conditions, but prefer some aquarium salt in the water for optimum health. Ideally at least a tablespoon of aquarium salt per gallon minimum is recommended. Through selective breeding programs, Sailfin, Balloon, and Lyertail varieties are available. Most mollies grow slightly larger than other livebearers, so it is best to provide these fish with an aquarium of at least 30 gallons

I have a 20 gallon freshwater aquarium, with 20 + fancy guppies and 5 catfish; I use aeration with good results. I have an under gravel filter system in addition to the aeration, and some live plants. All are doing well. I suggest a partial water change (40-50% every week. Hope this helps

You'll probably be fine, especially since the beta will go to the top and air breath. The water falling from the filter will tend to aerate the water somewhat. If you plan on adding any more fish, then I'd plan on adding an aerator first.

It's not required, but it increases the level of oxygen in the tank. If you see your fish gasping for oxygen, then you should probably get one. But do not use it if you have live plants in there. The air stone will take away the CO2 that the plants need.
