well unfortunately I work in a hospital. and no matter how much we complain to the housekeeping staff, they still do not do there work like they should. It's terrible. Maybe if we hired some better people that understood english it would help.

I would like to think a hospital is a sterile environment but the truth is, they're a hotbed for bacteria and a whole host of bad things including the dreaded staph germs.
There have been ratings on hospitals from everything including post-op care. Google statistics. I'm sure there's some eye-openers out there!

I just spent 4 days in a very clean and otherwise really nice hospital, so theyre not all bad.
The support staff, as well as the nurses etc are over worked and underpaid though, we really can't expect them to catch everything when thers so much to do all the time. If your dad had mentioned the stain and it was still not dealt with , then i would complain.

There's a local hospital that I won't go to because you have a high chance of developing an infection after surgery..staph, typically.
I'm thinking I'll go further to get to the "clean" hospital.
If I were your father, I would definitely complain!!

I use to work at a Hospital, they are scary bad! People in the food serves put their feet on the counter use to prep food. People would grab clean dishes after handling dirty dishes without cleaning their hands. Have you heard of the Super bug? That is partially the hospital fault.

In my experience not very. I recently had a minor op myself in a local hospital and the room i stayed in was really dusty, i dont think anyone had moved the furniture in there for weeks.

Yeah, i'd be calling and complaining about it.
A few weeks ago i had to go to the hospital, and oh gosh, that was the nastiest one i've ever been in. It didn't look like the examination room had ever been mopped! So, anyone from Greenville, SC...don't ever go to St. Francis. It's dirty and the doctors ain't worth a fck.

I am sure it was just an oversight but he should have mentioned it to them so that they could have cleaned that up right away. Think about all of the people that are in hospitals and this doesn't happen very often so they are pretty clean.

yeah not clean at all, but i mean its basically a building filled with people with viruses... yes def. complain, i don't see why not. who ever said they should get people who understand english is sooo right!!!! i'm tired of that, i mean esp in a hospital, isn't it suppsed to be like a safe haven, its supposed to make everything better, i mean when i had appendicitus (sp?) i was in soo much pain, i was just screaming from pain 2 days straight, then my parents took me to the hospital after it wouldn't go with an overdose of tylonol... but yeah all i kept telling myself was i'm going to the hospital and i'm going to get better, that was whay got me through the one hour drive to the cleaner child safe hospital, and then i had to wait 8HOURS before they even wrote down my name, and that was after my mom completly lost it and cussed out the lady at the office and started accusing them of killing more people than saving them, which could be true, i mean once your appendix actually explodes you only have 45 min to live before the poisin kills you, then i hate to wait another 4HOURS so the surgen would finish her previous surgery, my appendix did explode before the surgery but somehow they where able to stop the poisin, i don't know the details but i just know my mom flipped out.... those where the most painful 12hours of my life!! though it was just as bad at home, except there i had my bed to crawl in and a pillow to cover my face and scream into, at the hospital i could only cry and scream while my dad held me and said everything was going to be ok... and my momwas just sitting there frozen staring at me, she still can't stand to see me hurt, even a paper cut, then she got to her senses and complained her heart out, i love my parents
sorry i got of track on that story but yeah hospital care needs to improve
