My guess is that the Earth would be a much different place than what we know of today.

For starters, I believe that the average temperature on Earth would be several degrees warmer on average year round. Looking at current trends in temperature increase since the past 20 years, I would expect as much as 5 degrees warming of the atmosphere in the future. This means drastic heat waves to take place in summer, warmer oceans, and significant melting of polar ice caps. There will be more violent storms such as hurricanes and tornadoes which are affected by the rise in temperature. Many places near continental shores will be evacuated, and there will be a migration of people to previously uninhabited areas of the globe which provides better climates.

The atmosphere will be so thin from the greenhouse gases that sun radiation on clear days will be at dangerous levels. You can't go outside for long without wearing full skin and eye protection or else you may burn. Vegetation and animals on earth will decline due to the increase in UV rays which are harmful to living things and can disrupt reproductive cycles.

As a human society, the progress of technological advancement and in the sciences will be somewhat decreased from current trends seen in this last century. This is mainly due to spending most of our time in meeting the needs of survival from producing and acquiring food and water. There may possibly be an overpopulation which leads to heavy demand for the existing food and water.

All is not bleak though. This world of the future, although somewhat alien to us, will be a more peaceful place to live because people have learned that it works to come together to solve problems on a global scale. Certain advancement in medicine have prolonged human life so that many people are living productive lives beyond 100 years. Many diseases and sicknesses will have been cured such as cancer and diabetes. I also think that people can be happy living in a world of tomorrow because we have learned to adapt to the Earth which is a place we call home.

Scientists can't even predict the weather 6 days from now with any degree of accuracy.

Computer models of the climate are notoriously inaccurate, so it's very much unknown what it will be like in 400 years. For example, back in the 70's there was a big scare about "global cooling". Really.

Since we don't know what the climate will be, no one can refute the people who scream about doom and beaches in Tennesee.

In 20 year's the earth will be very much like 400 year's. Unbreatheable air, chaotic climate,,pop. of earth hardly surviveing, constant scarcity of food, shelter, clothing. You might still be alive to witness this, I won't, thank god, my generation did most of this, about half, and I tried for 50 year's, to warn all my southern friend's (I'm eskimo) that their fate was lingering in the arctic air, black yellow and brown air, that their factory's were polluting the arctic. Not one person listened, now everyone is glued to the tube to see it happening, it's just starting, and will be prodoundly breathetakeing, (no oxygen)make money and buy oxygen cannister company's or first right's of refusal to use oxygen.
