I must agree with PZ. When portis said what he wanted to, and not what his PR said, that is what he meant.

whenever portis starts speaking, i think people should ignore it...how can he say that vick has the right to do what he supposedly did, considering it is a felony?...i think the tell-tale sign in all this is that after he released his statement, the redskins immediately released their own statement saying "clinton does not condone dog fighting"...it proves we really shouldn't be listening to him, or any of his silly costume personalities either

properly i think of if Clinton Portis wasn't that stable, he would not have rushed for 1487 yards this season. He additionally caught the ball 28 circumstances for a income of 218 yards this season. i think of he works properly in that Washington offense. I do agree on one venture, Ladell Betts is an marvelous participant, however the venture is he hasn't been given an risk to tutor forth that great skills he has. In Washington they like to apply a 2 decrease back equipment that's what communities like the Saints and Cowboys prefer to apply. Many communities have a accepted decrease back which Portis is, however the Redskins prefer to commerce the dashing performs with Betts and Portis while wanted to via the offensive coordinator. With that being pronounced, Betts purely hasn't had lots of an risk in spite of the sharing of the burden. He does teach promise yet he purely would not get of project to initiate an entire interest. i think of if he somewhat wanted he could desire to play for yet another group. Betts in uncomplicated terms had one one thousand backyard dashing season and that replaced into decrease back in 2006. yet my ingredient approximately Portis is, definite he's an marvelous participant, in any different case the Redskins would not have made the commerce for him with Champ Bailey.

I think he's already been found guilty with his dog abuse interview. It's creepy what you hear when you get a punk, who's had special treatment his whole life, talk about an issue such as animal abuse. I think at every Redskin game this year everyone should bring a sign that says "Portis Kills Puppies".

Nobody is going to say the right thing all the time. He is still human, and is not immune to saying stupid things. Just because he is an athlete does not make it any better or worse. If it had been Joe Blow from down the street, would anyone even care?

portis is just a guy who was trying to make light of the situation he was laughing through out the interview which tells me he was saying things just to cause a stir,i agree not the smartest comments to make but i honestly dont belive he meant anything he said ,he was just trying to make light of a situation for a freind ,i just hate it was a situation that should not be taken lightly as a redskin fan i gotta say clinton should have not tried to joke about something this serious

Joe D did a good job of making a fool of himself on this thread just now.. he should be fined too.

Of course he should be, hell I'd throw him in jail. Saying dog fighting is not a crime and that the feds should leave Vick alone is pure idiocy. Go to hell Portis, I officially hate you.

hahaha, yeah... he and a whole bunch of other guys. I hate the off-season and I hate when some of these guys get caught up in the media. They really stink it up for the rest of the league!
