I'm sure you've all heard about the bees mysteriously disappearing: over 25% of the world's bees have disappeared. Bees are essential for our planet because they pollinize plants, etc.
Albert Einstein predicted that if something eliminated bees from our planet, mankind would perish within 4 years. This is an urban legend and whether it's true or false, well, that is undetermined.
Also, the Mayans predicted that the end of the world would occur on December 21st, 2012.
-----
It's May 2007. Bees keep disappearing. If they all disappear within a year or so, would you be a bit worried?

The world can end at any second through a number of causes. It could happen in a couple of minutes, maybe tomorrow morning, maybe in a few days or in 21st Dec 2012...or maybe just maybe it will take so long for it to actually happen that it may well have never happened.
So no, I'm not worried about the bees. If its gonna happen its gonna happen. What purpose does worrying serve anyway?

On December 21 2012 many stuff will be occurring. The image voltaic pastime will be at this is optimal. we will be at shifting from the properly of the Milky way, to the bottom. we will be crossing the equator of the Milky way, so gravity will be at this is max or something. So with that, and the optimal image voltaic pastime, the prospect of image voltaic flares getting into our environment is vast. And, ii's no longer very sturdy at the same time as they do. So, i imagine many stuff will be occurring then, and disater might want to ensue, yet no longer basically because some calendar says so, via Mayan's understanding about Astrology, and understanding what might want to ensue. So, i quite doubt the international will end, yet there is an chance.

If all the bees disappear, yes I will be worried. I am quite reliant on local honey for my allergies, nothing else works as well and living with those allergies without relief would be hell.
I have also carried odd feelings since childhood concerning an event in that year, so something is sure to happen. It could be positive though. Maybe a reawakening...

Quite frankly, i am worried right this minute. If within 30 days there is further escalation in the middle east, I predict either Israel or the US, but not both at the same time will strike at Iran.
If not by this time we have a 2 year window, but not longer than that before the middle east is the begining of the end for us all.

Ha ha! The world is going to end in 2012 because I will it to! I will control the world by 2011, so by the end of the year, I will be sick of everyone and begin to destroy everything! Much better than dying a slow agonizing death, eh?

I am aware of these very real indicators of the end of the world, but rather than be worried, which will not help solve the concern, I choose to focus my remaining time to the purpose of fulfilling my role in the world...

There is also a native American story about the great cleansing. There is an Egyptian story about aliens coming back in 2012 to save humanity from it's self...

Bees are not a sign, in my opinion.
Nobody can possibly know when will the end of the world come.
So if you here them saying it, it's just chit chat.
