Something im tryin to work on very hard, I loose patience w/ my children but i learn to calm myself. i dont hit them but i will find myself raising my voice and i know that this is not good @ times, 4 me it is a disadvantage. I'm a single parent and sometimes things jus really gets hard. I loose my patience cuz they dont listen to me at times very well and even though their father doesn't see them regularly they act much better with him and this drives me crazy!!!

I lose patience with my husband the most, which yes can be a disadvantage at certain times. There again it can also work in my faviour, depends what mood hes in and what he is doing or not doing at the time of me losing my patience. For example, I lose patience with him when were going out, he takes over an hour to get ready. Other times like when Im ready for bed, he just wants to finish off watching the Tv, but Im knackered, so leave him to it and quiet time for me alone with a good book and the bed to myself.

When your learning how to drive, its very easy to get frustrated with the instructor. In that situation, it is definately a disadvantage as you will drive more aggresively.
Its the same story in many aspects of life where learning is involved i find and getting frustrated will always slow the learning process!
When it comes to physical sports however i think frustration works well for players as there is more drive to beat the other team, for example look at liverpool versus ac milan in the champions league final in 2005. Liverpool were 3-0 down at half time and then they outplayed milan in the second half. This was due to the mental drive created in the liverpool players as a result of being frustrated.

I get so annoyed with a constant repetitive sound. Dogs barking at night is horrible and so are my loud neighbors that laugh in the most obnoxious way. Those things don't have any advantages. MAYBE it would be helpful if you're in line for the restroom and you seem impatient, maybe someone would let you take cuts. Or if it seems that impatiens is more like urgency, then maybe it would be in your favor if others see your distress and feel sorry for you.

When I have to deal with people who do not communicate effectively, it frustrates me, and I have to walk away to keep from losing my patience, but it annoys me. It's like pulling teeth to get through to people some times. The only advantage I can think of is that it has taught me to raise the bar for my threshold of poor communicators, and I know when I'd have luck talking to a brick wall : )

People I get impantient with most are ignorant people and people who overreact about something. People should all have open minds and not be so stuck in their ways and opinions. I get impatient with anyone who is not willing to admit to themselves that they were wrong about something. And when people make a big deal over something that really isn't that big a deal, it's pretty annoying.

People who are supposed to be in a certain place at a certain time for something important and don't turn up or even bother to let you know they won't be there.

I lose my patience the fastest with my son. He is 4, and he drives me crazy so fast. He is just like me, so I guess I see my own flaws in him. I guess we lose patience with those that show us our own flaws.

People that make assumptions and go on that, then you try and correct them and they just wont listen. I then lose my patience.
