Well, kicks that put spin on the ball to bend/curve its trajectory could be an example. Like during free kicks or PKs, where the kicker aims to bend the kick around defenders or to trick the goalie. I'm guessing the physics behind it would be air flow, pressure and air speed. I'm sure there is some actual theorem that would relate to these curving kicks. Ever seen Bend it Like Beckham? ^_^
