I'm trying to make a small address/schedule book from scratch. I just need to buy like a 6 inch metal part of a binder. I don't know if stores sell them separately. Or, if stores even sell them.

I've seen the rings you want in Staples, if you don't have a Staples near you, try any other store that sells similar merchandise. (Office Depot, etc.) You might also find them in places like KMart. They are out there.

Staples and other office supply stores have a large variety of all sizes of binders.
I think you could get one that suits you, and take it apart to use the ring parts. You might even just decorate one to suit your purpose.

You can buy just the rings at Walmart. Not the long metal part.
