I'm a sociology degree as well but it so hard to find a job. Anyway you can try in Human Resource or in Urban Planning or you can be a Professor and a Guidance Counselor.

You can become a social worker, but it depends on the requirements of the state you live in. I have a degree in sociology. It was helpful, but I wouldn't encourage anyone to be a social worker. Very bad paying and sad. Now, I have a really high paying job in a different field. If you get your sociology degree, you almost have to get your masters in social work to get at least a somewhat good job. Still not high paying though.

A Bachelor's?
No I don't, but I don't feel very optimistic. I think you should seriously consider grad school for sociology, psychology, social work or something else in social science.
One Sociology BA I know has a job doing mortgage banking with Quicken Loans (which is a job for ANY college grad, and I hear isn't very rewarding). Another I know is a waitress.
Keep thinking about what you'd MOST like to do as a career and go for that. If it's not entirely sociology... big deal. Your happiness is of ultimate importance.

With a BA, you can get a general type job in Urban Development or statistics. You can go into social work, but would need a LCSW in most places. However, you can help people get jobs, find resources and help people in crisis situations. You can further your education and teach college. You can specialize your degree, such as emphasize in a specific area. for example you could have a degree in Sociology with emphasis in criminal justice and work in the criminal justice field. You could specialize in sexual relations and work with people dealing in rape or sexual assult. You could also have a double degree. For example one in Sociology and Psychology and do something in the Social Psychology world. You could also work in research.
