They're all set-ups. None of the situations are real in any of the dramatic shows, like Survivor or Bachelor. The only ones that are close to real are the iron-man type shows, where people try to compete on an obstacle course. There is real physical effort put into winning, and no time for mind games or scripted set-up situations and sabotages.

The Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel is AWESOME and it's real. Great show about crab fishing. There's been episodes where ships are actually sinking and dead people are being pulled out of the water. Yeah I know it sounds terrible and some parts are extremely sad but it is an EXCELLENT show. I guarantee you'll be hooked after watching one episode. I know I was!

None.
The producers in these shows have a lot of input on the scenes shown. If there isn't enough drama, i think they find a way to insert it on the show.

I'd say the discovery channel and the history channel.

None of them.
There is some degree of "tampering" to skew the results they want
