You need to eat or drink 500 to 1000 extra calories each day to gain about one-half to one pound each week. Do not skip meals or snacks. You may need to plan time for healthy meals and snacks if you are very busy. Eat larger portion sizes (or second helpings) during your meals.

Eat healthy foods that are higher in calories:

Bread: Choose heavy breads such as honey bran, rye and pumpernickel instead of lighter breads such as white bread. Add peanut butter, margarine, jam, or honey for extra calories.

Cereals: Granola, Grape-Nuts® and Raisin Bran® are healthy choices and have more calories per serving than puffed rice or corn flakes. The serving size of a cereal is listed on the food label. You can also add more calories to cereals by adding nuts, raisins and other fruits.

Fruits: Bananas, pineapple, mangos, raisins, dates and dried fruit have more calories per serving than watery fruits. Some examples of watery fruits are watermelon, grapefruit, apples, and peaches. A serving of fruit is one medium banana or apple, one-half cup chopped or canned fruit, or one-fourth cup of dried fruit.

Vegetables: Starchy vegetables such as corn, carrots, and peas have more calories per serving than less starchy vegetables. Some examples of less starchy vegetables include green beans, broccoli and summer squash. A serving of vegetables is one cup of raw, leafy vegetables or one-half cup of cooked or chopped raw vegetables. Add margarine, almonds and cheese such as mozzarella for extra calories. Stir-frying vegetables with canola or olive oil will also add extra calories.

Meats: Cook chicken or fish in a small amount of canola or olive oil. Red meats such as beef, pork, and lamb have more calories but they also have more saturated (SACH-er-ay-ted) fat. Saturated fat is a type of fat that may increase blood cholesterol. When you eat red meats, choose leaner cuts. Some examples of lean cuts of red meat are round or sirloin steak, ground round, fresh or boiled ham, or center loin chop.

Beans and legumes: Lentils, lima beans, chili beans, bean burritos and other dried beans are high in calories. These foods are good choices because they also provide carbohydrates and protein.

Also, be sure to lift weights/drink protein shakes. That should help you bulk up.

How old are you? If you're 10-12, no problem. When I was 12, I was 5' and 70 lbs! But if you're going on 13-15, you'll need to gain. Eat meals that are healthy, but have a little more fat than a normal diet. Eat a good breakfast, a light lunch, and a good dinner. After school or work, eat a small snack. Keep up a normal exercise routine. If there's one thing you shouldn't do, don't start eating junk food just to gain weight. And don't stop exercising regularly. Because once your over weight, it's a lot harder to go down than to climb back up! About the breast issue, this one is going to be harder to solve. You can't MAKE your breasts get bigger. Don't take medications, they won't help. In time, they will grow, be patient.

You probably won't believe this... but exercise. Muscle weighs a lot and if you start lifting weights you'll gain pounds. Plus, when you start to tone up it keeps you from looking quite so tiny.

The final Bonus to this is that if you work on your pecs (breast area) when you build that muscle it will add more to the contour of your breasts and you may go up a cup size.

Don't do a lot. You don't want to more than get what they call "tone". If you can join a gym and get the free personal trainer they give you to help. If you can't join a gym then use a friends machine or buy some hand weights and look up the specific exercises you want!

By the way the carrott thing to make your breasts bigger is an urban legend, and it does not work.

1) You gain "good weight" by eating PROTEIN and lifting weights slowly. (You gain "bad weight" by eating sugar and fats and not exercising at all)
2) Don't try to add weight just to add the pounds. Add the weight via muscles, so you are stronger and have more endurance. You will add weight over the years anyway, so DO NOT add pounds just to make the scale look good. Underweight is better than overweight.
3) You can only build breast muscle, not the gland. So push your palms together for hours or otherwise tone and build your pectoral muscles. Don't get implants... they look fake like they are. Natural is much much better, no matter the size.
4) To really gain good weight, eat lots of chicken or lean protein, and spend two or more hours a day working out...with pretty "heavy" weights....(enough so you have to TRY) slowly, so you build muscle. If you work out fast, with light weights, you lose weight.
5) Some of it is in your metabolism, and maybe you just can't change it as much as you want to.

I say you should be happy you are healthy, and take pride in a well-tuned body, and don't try to change your looks, except to be stronger and healthier.

If you are really 4 ft 1 or 2, your weight is perfect! Gaining weight will not necessarily make your breasts grow. You have no control over where the extra weight goes.

Try strength training and exercise your pec muscles.

That's a bad idea, It's unhealthy to not say the weight you were meant to be 109 is good, as long as you're not under 100 stick to your normal routine.

To gain weight, you should increase the number of calories in your daily diet by about 300 calories. These extra calories should be part of a balanced diet. More information at http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.html
