There must be a balance between looks and inner self. If someone was gorgeous but selfish & cocky then no one would like this person as a friend, and in the same time, if someone was kind-hearted but looks like a homeless person, no one would like to do anything with him/her. Take care of your looks, and try to better your personality. Mix the both.

I think looks/appearence matters all the time. When I go to school, I wear the best-looking there is. Some other students like to wear clothes, that are stained or don't fit them properlly. In reality that isn't always a good-look for someone. I consider that a lowlife-look, if the student always wear stained and clothes that don't fit him/her.

There is this one student in my school, that wears clothes that are to small for him. 90% of the time his clothes are stained, and he is overweight. You always can see his gut hanging from the top of his pants, that looks nasty. I don't mean to make fun of him, that is the way he is. I could never be like him.

Even when it is hot outside, and I decide to take my shirt off (not to get a sweaty shirt while working-out) I take my looks seriously. I wear good-looking shorts, and I am not seriously overweight. No overweight guy should work-out in the heat shirtless. A guy really can't look perfect while working-out, but looks are important. From a girl wearing a dress to a guy choosing what to wear, everyone needs to pay attention to style.

even though people say that looks don't really matter sometimes...sometimes you have certain friends because of the way you look...the way you dress ect. that whole personality part comes in at some point but it's not as imortant to people as looks...
