I would take him for a guy to be named later. Two weeks later I would send him back to you as the guy to be named later.

As a Diamondback fan I would have some interest because I think Weaver is a National League Pitcher. He's done well in the NL (LA and StL) before but has sucked in the AL (ANA, NY and now SEA). I think he signed a big contract so I would need SEA to eat some of it and I'd give you an end of the rotation pitcher like Edgar Gonzalez and a bullpen guy or a prospect.

YOU couldn't give me enough to take Weaver from the M's. Because he blew just as bad when he was in NY on my Yanks. And to the guy who mentioned long relief; he sucked there too when he was with the Yankees, so that wouldn't work.

I am a Cubs fan, so I would problably give you Matt Murton, you guys could use an outfielder and it wouldnt hurt our team. But I think we would be sending Weaver to Triple-A Iowa

I would offer you a 12 pack of your favorite beer and a bucket of chicken if you promised to quit calling me asking if I would take Weaver.

the yankees might be one of very few teams who would even consider picking him up because they are so desperate for starting pitching, but they wouldn't get more than a minor leaguer for him with those numbers...he's still in the mariners' starting rotation? wow
