I was thinking, if I had two girls, I'd name the first one Ashleigh, and the second one Emileigh, are these good names?

Well, Ashleigh isn't all that uncommon. Emileigh is okay- my little cousin's is spelt Emaleigh, and I'm not sure which one I like better... Both are pretty, but if you have two girls and name them Ashleigh and Emileigh, they'll probably get sick of being confused. 'leigh' is longer than 'ash' or 'emi', so if you're ever trying to call one of them, the chance of mixing them up is enormous.

Ashleigh is a good Gaelic name. Oh but is a boys name I should note. And Emileigh sounds Gaelic when pronounced as well but I don't care for it. Emiliana I like better. Maybe it's because I know WAY to many Emilys.

But it's all up to you, these are the names those kids will have for the rest of their lives. My friend didn't name her son until he was 8 simply for that very reason. She wanted to know him better before she labeled him. We do it with dogs so why not with babies?

My current favorites are Cassiopeia, Fuchsia, Calliope, Fern, Lily, Coral, Opal, Summer, Winter, Moon, Persephone, Ami (ah-me japanese for friend)

I think they are pretty names. Ashleigh is ok, but I really wouldnt spell the second one Emileigh. Emily works just fine (or you could just name her Emma Leigh :) )

Nice names, but the spellings are trendy. It's a bit much as sisters (both spelled with Leigh on the end.) How about Ashley and Emilie? Ashleigh and Emily? Unless "leigh" is a family name, I am not loving it.

They are both beautiful names, but I prefer the old fashioned spelling, myself. Especially for your Emileigh....I really don't care for that. I love Ashley and Emily.....and Hayley too!!

They're really common, so I'd go for maybe the second one with a different name, and possibly spelled different. Because as cool as unique spellings are, having to kids ending in 'leigh' spelling can get annoying to the kids themselves.

Those are two of the most common names in the United States, only spelled wrong.
