The Democrats, ladies and gentlemen, I want you to be prepared, because they have totally pulled out now of the timeline. The Democrats have dropped insistence on an Iraq withdrawal timeline. Now, my question, what about the will of the people? We keep hearing the will of the people was we gotta get out of Iraq, that's what the election in November of '06 meant. "Scrambling to send President Bush an emergency war spending bill he will sign, Democratic leaders have decided to drop their insistence on a timeline for withdrawing U.S. forces from Iraq. The move is a significant concession to the president and his Republican allies on Capitol Hill, who have steadfastly rejected any dates for bringing U.S. troops home… Democrats also are working to include a minimum-wage hike in the funding bill in an effort to push that long-delayed legislative priority into law." By the way, they haven't got that done, either. Haven't got the minimum wage done, they can't get us out of Iraq. Do you think their side, their kook fringe base, is going to be happy with this? There's going to be fireworks over this, this is going to be fun to watch. They're throwing things in here like the minimum wage to try to buy 'em off, and not get so mad.

The Democrats don’t have enough votes to override Bush’s vetoes. There are still too many Republicans in Congress.

The Democrats have done the best that they could under the circumstances, although I think the situation might have been handled differently. They could have said to Bush that this is the only supplemental funding bill you are getting – take it or leave it. That might, however, have been considered by some to appear uncooperative.

This subverts the real question which is why is Bush so unwilling to have a PLAN for leaving Iraq? Does he really think we need another Vietnam where after 11 years we realize it was not worth the cost in American Lives or Money? I am not fan of EITHER party because both parties have lost touch with reality. Neither party has any plan for anything beyond their own interests and pocketbooks. Look at Cheney Reaping the benefits of Haliburton and exploiting Iraq. We can't even help the Iraqi's avoid corruption and take care of themselves and pretty much their only natural resource, oil. Oil disappears to the black market faster than Iraq can pump it from the ground.

I think we all need to stop focusing on the two major parties and their lost reality and start thinking about electing "outsiders"! We will never get anything different if we rely on Democrats and Republicans for it. Neither party is worth its weight in tin.

Now that is my two cents!

The Tea occasion is comprised broadly speaking of genuine Republicans or perhaps some genuine Democrats. greater i think of might connect if the mainstream media or perhaps Fox information wasn't so busy missrepresenting the TPM. something went difficult Left. the severe genuine greater often than not died off. It became replaced by ability of "average" Republicans that have been no longer something yet previous form Democrats with some twists. regardless of the shown fact that maximum of it relatively is moot as neither occasion has any purpose of doing something greater suitable than securing their power base and gaining wealth. do away with the corruption and fairly some something solves itself.

If the stubborn chimp is not going to admit to his mistakes like he said he was going to do then with the veto power dems can't do anything and the over 70 percent of Americans who do not support the war will not be heard by the worst president in American history.

Do you have a clue about Iraq? One of my boys just came back after being shot while on patrol. He says most of the soldiers think Bush is wasting the finest army on earth. But brave people like you can write all sorts of chest thumping brave crap and never face danger. You make me want to puke.

I agree with you, but I am a Republican and I gotta say that I am so disgusted with many in my party who voted today to give the amnesty bill a shot in the Senate. They did so despite thousands of calls and letters from their very own constituents calling for a vote against cloture.

They are talkers who stir up things and get the desperate to hear them. Why are you surprised? IF they win in "08 and we are still in Iraq you can bet a kidney they won't pull out or let the enemy know our timeline
