Cryole, is my answer I believe that he needs the starting experience and that if the chiefs get in a bind they will be able go to Huard but they drafter Croyle for the very reason of him becoming the franchise qb. Let him start and see what he can do.
Chiefs will finish 8-8 cause Herm Edwards is the coach

Huard can definitley start. He's nothing special - he won't carry the team on his back and win the game, but he won't make repeated mistakes that lose the game, either. From what I've heard, Croyle has looked really good in his offseason workouts that he did in front of Herm. They'll battle it out for the spot, but I think Croyle is the guy that should be taking the snaps this year. He needs to get game experience and this is kind of a rebuilding year, so now is as good as any other time. He wasn't drafted to sit behind a guy who is obviously not the future QB of the team.

Huard showed he is capable of being the starter, but let's be honest, we all know it was a fluke. Croyle may not be great starter material either, but I think the Chiefs would be best off with him at the helm to see what he's got. I know he's got a great arm, and in a system that has a great running back, he could potentially make a simple transition from the college game.

Damon Huard proved himself as a capable quarterback and Croyle is an unproven player who can lead a franchise and perform just as he did at Alabama. Damon Huard well start and Croyle well be the backup.

i don't think either of them will be consistently good for them for an entire season like trent green has been in the past...i'm just very surprised by the entire situation, when huard was doing so well filling in for green herman edwards almost rushed green into the lineup, then when he finishes off their playoff run he turns on him? seems very odd, but that's the decision that's been made, and i think the chiefs could suffer from it

i'll bypass out on a limb and say that Thigpen stands out as the starter next season. i don't comprehend ways they might't start up him, as a results of fact he's been useful. Huard and Croyle have the two performed undesirable.
