Yes! I'll tell you exactly what to do:
1. Stop using bottled Cramberry juice. Instead, buy frozen or natural cramberiies and juice them up in a blender. Don't add any sweetener, and use about 3 cups of water for 1/2 cup of cramberries. Drink 4-6 ounces 3-4 times a day, but not with meals. Should not drink any liquid with meals but 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after.
2. Do not eat any dairy at all. It will upset your pH balance in the blood, and will therefore accentuate your problem.
3. Coffe and vinegar, and soda will just make it worse.
4. Eat only fruits in the morning, but good amount (about 1.5-2 pounds).
5. Drink 2 cups of Uva Ursi & Horsetail tea daily. Sweeten it with a little honey.
6. Drink about 2.5-3 litters of water daily, but never cold, only room temperature.
7. Get a natural product called Kyolic (aged garlic from Japan), and take 3 caps with each meal.
8. Also get Magnesium --400 mg, aprox. Take 1 caps with each meal daily.
Do all this for 10-15 days. You should start seeing improvement after your 4th day.

Lots and lots of water. The more you urinate, the more you can flush out the bacteria. Sometimes antibiotics are necessary. If you have a fever or pain in the area of your kidneys, don't mess around -- it has already gone too far. Addendum -- I noticed that some people are recommending pyridium -- Uristat or Azo. These over-the-counter medications treat the symptoms ONLY, they do absolutely nothing to clear the infection. The danger is, they can mask the symptoms and make you think you are better when you are not. Also, there has been a link with bladder cancer, when used a lot.

Did you try cranberry pills? They are stronger than the juice. You should really try to get to the doctor for some medicine because if you let a bladder infection go to long and it doesn't heal, it can get worse by spreading to your kidneys and cause infection there. Feel better! Those are the worst. :-)

Cranberry juice doesnt cure bladder infections, it can help to prevent them and may even slow them down once you've got one, but it can not cure them! Also, it can not be a cranberry juice cocktail...it must be 100% unsweetened juice. The loads of sugar in the other stuff counteract the theraputic properties. Call your doc and get an antibiotic! Good Luck

Yogurt works best for me. Plain if you can stomach it. Otherwise try it with a teaspoon of honey. I've noticed improvement by the end of the day. It has something to do with the bacteria in it. It'll also help calm down the heartburn you're likely having from the cranberry juice. Good Luck

Cranberry juice is only effective if it is real cranberry juice. Most is about 90% apple juice and will not contain enough Mannose to be effective.

Cranberry juice - organic and unsweetened - is good for prevention.
Talk to your doctor, you need anti-biotics. After finishing the anti-biotics course get:
Acidophilus : 1 pill (1-2 billion live organisms) twice a day. Take if your doctor has prescribed antibiotics.

Do you know for sure that it is indeed a bladder infection? Sometimes pain, burning, and other symptoms are from an inflammation of the ureter ( the tube leading from the bladder to the outside of the body, caused by friction and change in pH etc.)...in that case, antibiotics won't help. Drink lots of water and take a vitamin C (this will help change the pH to closer normal). As far as bladder infections...once you have one, antibiotics are best. However, give prevention of an infection some thought, especially if it is reoccuring. Urinate after sexual intercourse (if this applies to you), drink water...think of a stagnant pond full of "life"...great for an infection. If you drink a lot of water, you "wash" that "life" out like a stream. Avoid caffiene as it can irriatate the lining of the bladder. Note on cranberry juice...it is hard to find real cranberry juice that is not loaded with sugar...high sugar can also incurrage bacterial growth. Vitamin C works better. Connie

Well I saw where someone said AZO, that is good yes.....but I found something that worked great and even better. Back when I had those problems, I tried many things. That included the AZO. It did work but not very fast. What I used was Alka-Seltzer original. It worked so fast that by the time you would go to the bath room the first time after drinking it, you could tell the difference that soon. At least it will NOT stain your under clothes the way the others do. All you have to do is mix it the way it says to on the box and drink it all at once. Yes it taste nasty, but at least it will get rid of the infection. Take it as often as the box tells you to and no more. The burning will go away first before the infection will. To me that was a relief it's self. If the infection is not bad, one time will do it...but if it is bad you may have to do it 2 or 3 more times. But it does work and works great!! It is cheaper than the meds in the store as well. Good luck.
