The 9-11 Commission was simply a sham to quickly cover up the whole event in hopes that the real truths of what happened would never come to light. While our U.S. government leaders might not have been involved in, or participated in, the tragedy, it is highly likely that it was at least aware of the plans and did little - if anything - stop it. There is credible evidence that demonstrates that such a tragic 'attack' played well into the hands of the Bush administration's desire to unconstitutionally and illegally invade Iraq. For those who wish to believe their government would never do such a dastardly deed to its own countrymen, consider how we've been lied to and deceived in these past fifty or sixty years:
a) Our government LIED about U-2 spy planes flying over the U.S.S.R. until Nikita Khrushchev shot one down and displayed it for the whole world to see;
b) Witnesses of events that took place in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 have never been satisfied with the military explanations of what really happened;
c) The "Warren Commission" sealed all documents pertaining to the Kennedy assassination until 2038, when most witnesses to that event will be dead and gone - and it will be far easier to 'con' the American public into accepting the Commission's report as 'gospel';
d) Our federal government LIED about ships being attacked in the Gulf of Tonkin, which brought the U.S. into the Vietnam War;
e) The federal government LIED about a third-rate burglary attempt at the Watergate Hotel until two enterprising young reporters dug out the truth and forced a President to resign in disgrace;
f) The U.S. military LIED about the effects 'Agent Orange' would have on Vietnam veterans;
g) The Bush administration LIED about 'weapons fo mass destruction' as a justification for involving us in an illegal 'war' against another sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the U.S.A.;
h) The Bush administration LIED about 'secret CIA prisons' and the torture and abuse of 'detainees' in direct violation of the terms of the Geneva Convention;
i) The federal government LIED about why multiple U.S. attorneys were dismissed from their jobs.

WHY is it so impossible to believe that the federal government might have LIED about 9-11?? WHY did the federal government hastily use much of the scrap metal from the wreckage of the two buildings to build a new U.S. battleship - instead of storing that scrap and allowing for further investigation?

It is our right - and duty - to be skeptical of our leadership. That should be the 'fourth estate's" job, but they have become far too cozy with the federal government, finding it more convenient and cost-effective to simply read the government press releases verbatim instead of actually researching, questioning, and doubting the government's words. Benjamin Franklin once said: "When people fear the government, it is tyranny; when government fears the people, it is liberty." If we fail to exercise a certain amount of skepticism and doubt over our government, we are not far from losing all of our precious freedoms. -RKO- 05/22/07

Because they were afraid of Bill & Hillary Clinton.
None of the Commission wanted to end up like Vince Foster, or the 50 other dead people in Little Rock.
If you "know too much", or "talk too much" about the Clintons, you won't make it home for supper.

What is the basis for your argumentative question without supporting data. 80% of questions submitted? 80% of some arbitrary list you made up. 80% of "Where is the body of my husband?"
What?
