Did you have long hair when you started dating him? He should love you because of what you mean to him, not with how you look. Beauty comes from within, the same place love comes from. If he is being persistent about this, ask yourself if you want to spend the rest of your life being controlled by him. If you do, then go ahead and cut your hair. If not then cut him off. How does he react when you tell him you'd rather not cut it? That should tell you something.

A boyfriend should like you for who you are, not for your hair.
If you really like this guy, then what sacrifices has he made for you? Your hair would probably grow back, but it could take a while. If you really like him (come to think of it, you've been together 3 years - why wouldn't you like him?!) then cut your hair, but it's your decision not mine. You run your own life, not strangers on Yahoo! Answers.
Good luck with this guy! You seem really happy with him!

before everything, he did no longer opt to regulate you, he merely expressed his opinion. you probably did what you needed, yet i think of he will merely no longer like it, he already instructed you. i are not getting the point why you probably did it, as a results of fact this became basically a small/stupid component (slicing your hair) i do no longer see the place is the controlling area. i does not decrease it if i became on your shoes, yet oh nicely, you have been scared that somebody might administration you, so which you already did what you needed. What am i able to declare now...does it seem superb a minimum of? he will stay with it, as a results of fact it is going to advance returned

Aww, honey, Seriously. You know how long it took you to grow your hair that long, right?
If he is seriously that shallow, YOU need to dump HIM. And while you're at it, maybe question his motives? I thought like 90% of men, well, straight men, love long hair on a girl? Maybe he's jealous of other guys checking you out? Or maybe he has gay tendencies? I'm just sayin, something to ponder.

Seriously. If you have been in a relationship with this guy for three years and he is saying this to you, you need to rethink your relationship. He is either cheating on you, looking for a reason to break up or both. There has got to be some underlying reasons in there. Think about it and good luck!

Don't get it cut just to please him it's your hair your choice and if he dumps you are better off without him and need to find someone more mature.
If he cares he won't go but he has a lot of growing up to do and it's wrong of him to even say that to you.Stand up for yourself.

Maybe there is another reason and he's using that as an excuse. I would be so mad if my BF told me that- I'd say he doesn't really love me for who I am.
Don't change for him please!! But if you REALLY do not want to let go, cut it I guess. Sounds like a jerk though.

I'm so fortunate to have a man that accepts me whether I got my head shaved or if I got my hair down to the floor.Never let anybody attempt to change who you are.A real man will accept you for who you are,and will never try to change something that you've been having even before y'all got together.I would never let a man try to influence my life, specially my appearance.
