He is the best dual threat quarterback in decades.
He will only get better.
His first TD pass was against the #3 passing defense in the NFL at the time (Chargers).
He was the most clutch player in the NFL this year. I can't count all the times the Titans were I QB mistake from losing a very close game and he didn't make one. He kept them alive.
The Titans had the worst defense in every category this year and they were 1 or 2 wins from the playoffs with the only big change from the year before's horrible team being Vince Young as a starter.
Steve McNair couldn't improve the Titans the way VY has and will.
Vince has never sucked at football (he's not a bust like reggie and matt... and they played in pro offenses since high school!!). For a QB who had never played pro style football, Vince made the college to pro transition much easier than most. He didn't need 3 years of practice to become a game changer or leader. He probably didn't even know most of the plays, but he sure didn't make many rookie mistakes. I watched every Titan game this year and even though he isn't perfect, he was much much more impressive then any other rookie QB or offensive player.
If the Titans had put anyone else in at QB they would have gone 2-14 and we all know it. Vince is the single biggest reason they weren't out of the payoff race until week 17! If several things had happened, the Titans would have been a playoff team. This was a team with the worst defense in the nfl... and Vince kept them alive all year and they had a chance. If Vince wasn't the Titans savior, then what else caused such a dramatic turnaround? We all know the titans were horrible and lost often without him.
You can hate all you want and say he sucks, but there is no proof to your words. All the things I said are fact.

Pathetic is a little strong, but you have to say it was disappointing. I'm suprised by the amount of backing a QB who accounted for 150 yrds of total offense and 0 TDs in a playoff game is getting here. But comparing that playoff performance against his performance in the regular season game against the Chargers, I suppose it was as good a performance as you could have expected from Vince. With his 12/20 TD/TO ratio, Vince Young's QB rating in the regular season is roughly that of Cleo Lemon's and Tarvaris Jackson's. Give Vince credit though, 9/17 TD Pass to Interception ratio this year was better than that of Kellen Clemens (5/10).
