Alice, Flo and Vera were the original ones played by Linda Lavin, Polly Holliday and Beth Howland respectively...
Polly Holliday left the show and got a spinoff titled Flo but it didn't make it. She was replaced by Diane Ladd who played Belle Dupree for about a year and when she left Celia Weston replaced her in the role of Jolene Hunneicutt.

The originals were Vera, Flo, and of course Alice. I watched it back in the day and recently discovered the reruns are airing on one of the cable channels in my area!
