Hitler and Stalin agreed to divide up Poland and not to fight against each other. Hitler later broke the pact by attacking the USSR on June 22, 1941.

They agreed to split Poland and it protected Hitler's back when he started the war in the West against France and Britain.

Hitler broke the Pact when he launched Operation Barbarossa and invaded the USSR.
