Ok, firstly i put *white people make just as many blah blah* because some white degenerate made comments online against pakistani's, which infuriates me...and him being white, and making such hideous comments implied that *white people make just as many mistakes as anyone else* i did NOT mean *only white people are racist* because i know thats not true, obviously. I have been beaten up by a group of west african youths so i know bad seeds come from every ethnic background/country etc.
Secondly, *hate* is obviously a strong word, i was angry at such idiocy coming from someone who is the same being as myself. I don['t hate racists, why, that would be silly, but it gets my fecking back up when i watch people insulting people who i see as fellow earth dwellers. The brain dead comments made by people who are too ignorant to accept and embrace everybodies differences on this planet, are just unforgivable. I hope this clears things up.

You should have said "I hate racism".

Everyone has the same type of hangups, you hate racists is that much different than the racists, everyone has there own views and everyone stereotypes ppl (you are), of course you have the right to stand up and voice your opinion however, it only goes overboard when ppl start using the word hate and so on.

Before painting things in black and white try walking in someone Else's shoes, try understanding why someone dislikes this group and that group, you'll find far more rational answers which while they don't excuse certain beliefs certainly shed a different light on a given situation.

By making broad sweeping comments like I hate them etc you just add to the mixture, which becomes dirtier on each stir.

If anyone gets the chance, go to the seminar called "anatomy of Prejudice" by Jane Elliot or find her "blue-eyed, brown-eyed" exercise on the internet. It will make you question your own behaviour as much as anyone else's. The one point she makes throughout though is that no-one is born racist. It takes conditioning by family, media, schools, churches etc.
That raises the hope that people can change.
In the UK, the PC brigade are turning non-racist people racist, because the more ignorant amongst us cannot work out that it is men in suits making these crackpot decisions and not the minority groups themselves.
Racists need to be educated out of their ignorance, many can change, some will never.

To hate anyone is just as bad.

I cannot see why people cannot just get along, certain issues such as selfishness and insecurity is part of it. Racism is also about the justifying of own failures by the blaming of someone else being the cause. I think if anyone works hard and wants to earn a living, they should be allowed to be where they like and that goes for anyone and anywhere.

Who should say that just because a) was born in 1972 and b) was born in 1984 that a) has more right to said piece of land than b).

It is only an issue for me when it comes down to people that want to sponge and that can be any race. Economies have to balance. A country cannot afford to be paying for any person not pulling their weight; that goes for any race. And we should be responsible therefore in what decisons we make in terms of birth, terms of creating housing, terms of creating jobs etc as every decision made has cause and effect. Unemployment is easy to blame and hide and brush aside.

We should be looking to create jobs for people to do that make people want to live.

People are influenced too much by the media - such as News 24 in Tescos and Wetherspoons.

The population do not want wars. Government want wars (partly for elections) and the population fights it for them. Want a war? Do it yourself.

If all Governments (including other countries) were to concentrate more on peace than War, domination/control the world would be a better place. It's only because people want to create wars and prepare for wars they happen in the first place.

You've already given up your freedom to be able to smoke regardless of whether it is good/medium/bad etc. What's next to accept? A chip that controls all your money and what you buy and where you bought it etc? Regulates whether you've had so many drinks in one week and decides you are not allowed any more? We're being conditioned to accept whatever rule is decided for us. No one objects and when that happens, you can place more and more. Suddenly you're at Z!

Regarding race though, if people want to be so narrow-minded, then good luck to them. I've had many a good conversation with people of other nationalitities. It's not about how you look that makes a person, its who you are inside.

The only issue I dislike about myself is growing up conditioning has probably affected my fanciable; attraction radar - but not completely. I like everyone, but probably I am too selective - but if I get that click - I won't care.

It depends on what you mean by racism and what you mean by "racist comments" (your phrase).

Mixes of races and/or religions within nations have created trouble throughout human history. You can even see evidence of it today, not just in the UK but throughout the world. I wonder if it is an inborn natural instinct in us all to be happy among our own kind but wary of those of a different race or religious belief. Why, otherwise, in this so-called multiracial country does one rarely find mixed-race marriages? Why, otherwise, do we find immigrant races aiming to settle in towns already inhabited by their own kind. They, themselves, choose to segregate themselves from those of different origins and beliefs. The indigenous race cannot be blamed for that behaviour: nor can it be castigated for the failure of the foreign, but welcome, races to integrate themselves, whether or not its individuals happen to be born there. Make yourself a stranger and you will remain a stranger and when somebody treats you as a stranger don't shout "Racist!!". It's Mother Nature taking over and no man-made legislation can change that.

I served for five years in the RAF in WW2 and when I came home I thought, "That's it. Done. Home. What a lovely country to come back to." It really was an unimaginably lovely country and nation of people. What the Hell has since happened to it? Socially fragmented! Crime-ridden! No longer a nation but just a crowd of people whose only care is for themselves and "feck the country", to use an Irish word concealing an English obscenity.

(Sorry, Webmaster. I hope the Irish expression does not cause my effort to be deleted.)

I agree

Don't get me wrong, I hate a lot people - but I hate people, not skin colours.

There are a lot of reasons to hate people, and there are a lot of disgusting and disgraceful "human beings" out there - but at least I have the dignity of having a good reason to hate them.

Because I am white I dont relate to or feel sympathy for whites or think they are my friends any more than blacks or any other creed, and if I hate someone, I'll hate them the same amount regardless of whatever colour they are.

I am prejudiced against racists. I hate when someone says something racist around me, I will tell them how it is. Racists make us white people look bad. We are one big melting pot here in America and if someone doesn't like it they can get out for all I care and move to Europe or Africa, or wherever else their race is from.

I feel sorry for them. They are just wasting energy. I think its a shame that race has to be such an issue. Its funny cos when you watch certain sci-fi, where aliens come to earth, do you notice how black, white, chinese, whatever man is man. Its just a shame we cant be like that anyway.

So non-whites don't have prejudices?

I've travelled the world and I've discovered that ALL people have some prejudices. So before you point out the mote in my eye, perhaps you should find the beam in yours.

But I do agree, racist behaviour is atrocious and people that engage in it are cowardly - and calling them swine is an insult to pigs.

But before we cast aspersions, we should all look to ourselves first.
