I want to know the approximate date when "haley's comet" was last seen'

Summer of 1986. Unfortunately, it was the worst apparition in two thousand years, and I never did see the thing. It is due back in 2062.

I went out with Haley last night. After ten daquiris she threw a vomit comet so long its tail lit up the alleyway. Spectacular!
Seriously the comet was last seen in 1986 I think.

I think you refer to "Halley's" comet, which last came through in 1986 (a disappointing pass) and will come by in about 55 more years.

Uh, Halley's Comet can still be seen in telescopes...yes, even today.
