Ok, so heres my question.....

I have gotten my period over the summer ('06) and this month i have gotten it on the 1st. It was really heavy, i had to use a new pad every hour, and that was pushing it. It lasted about 8-10 days. And now on the 22 i have gotten it AGAIN! I dont really know if this is natural or not for someone to have a cycle of 22 days, seems kinda short. I also thought that on my past period I had "Menorrhagia" because it was so heavy. So, can someone who has had thier period before help me to understand if this is natural. AND PLEASE dont tell me to go see a doctor, the reason I am asking on here is so i can get different impinions and i have already talked to my mom about that. and if it helps at all, im 14.

I am 34 and started my period when I was eleven. I had very heavy periods and actually threw up and had a fever with them many months. My mom took me to my pediatrician and a gyn and both said I just was sensitive and had normal but heavy periods, advised her to give me Panadol, Pamprin, or Midol. I suffered with these miserable periods until I was married and trying to have a baby. I was unable to conceive and my obgyn did many tests, ultimately performing a laporoscopy which diagnosed that I have emdometriosis. I had suffered for YEARS with something that could have been diagnosed when I was eleven years old if my doctors had just looked. There are treatments that can greatly improve your quality of life. I don't know if you have this condition or any at all. But if I had been informed and aware that there were treatable medical conditions that could be causing the pain I would have avoided years of misery. Just educate yourself and don't let the doctors dismiss your concerns because you're so young. Good Luck, I hope you get the answers you need!
P.S. I understand not wanting to go to a doctor about something so personal especially at your age, ask your mom to find you a female gynacologist, that will make it a little easier.

To answer your question, its not normal for your flow to be that heavy, or that long, especially at your age. The length of your cycle is not a problem, as they very greatly from person to person, but the heaviness and length of you period may well be. If your cycle is that heavy that you have problems with your blood (fainting/dizziness/lack of energy), you do need to get it checked by the doctors, as there are a few things it could be.
Are they particularly painful, so much so that it stops you doing what you normally would? Does it start before your period and only get better well into your cycle? The doctor's can help with that.
If it happens again, that its so heavy and long, with such a short break between, you might need to get it checked out, to rule out endometriosis, which could affect your ability to have children. And get a blood test to check if your anemic (low on iron).
If you don't want to talk to a male doctor about it is there a female one at the same clinic? Believe me, most doctor's have heard and seen just about everything and you are not going to shock them, and you shouldn't be embarrassed, its just another health issue, and 50% of the world's population have periods too.

This is definitely not normal. If you have talked to your Mom and she does not want you to go to the doctor, you are ignoring a serious issue. It is normal for your period to be unstable because you are so young, but it should not be that heavy. You need to inform your doctor of what is happening and depending on what the issue is they should have several solutions. If t is just a heavy period and is not due to another health condition, they can put you on a low estrogen birth control to regulate and shorten your periods. Do not ignore this, your health should not be taken lightly.

Umm its crowded and individuals do by way of accident touch one yet another by way of bumping into one yet another. So their is not any way you are able to end that till you come across yet another transportation. i understand the buses in India are very crowded and the trains yet perhaps somebody could supply you a journey. At a temple your concentration must be on our Gods no longer different women being touched. end thinking approximately it then you definately won't get right into a arousing issue. once you're in those issue only think of of the main considerable concentration as to the place your going and how will you get there, what issues you're able to be able to desire to be doing to get achieved. Ten your innovations gets diverted to a minimum of a few thing else and you won't could desire to think of approximately it. Its all approximately self administration. it is your physique you should understand the thank you to regulate it. even with the undeniable fact that its common to have an interest in women yet do no longer bypass purposely to touch them while you're averting it.

I am sorry to tell you this, but it isn't normal. There is nothing that you can do about it. You SHOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR. I know that isn't what you wanted to hear but that is what you should do. something may be wrong with your body. The longer you wait the worse it can get. Go to the doctor. They can fix anything. If you need to they can put you on the pill to regulate your period.

This is not normal, it sounds like you may have endometriosis. I know you don't want to hear this, but you need to see a doctor. There are treatment options but only through a doc.
