Which season is good to go there?

4 Days, 3 nights. Just enough time to drink, gamble and see some sights.

I went the first week of May and the weather is nice and I also went in September of 06, the weather is also very nice. Usually Spring time and the middle of September is the best time to go.

First of all, DON'T go there with a lot of money. Take only what you can afford to lose.

Usually one or two days is more than sufficient for me. Unless you've hit a lucky streak - in which case you should stop and get out of town before you lose it all -Vegas gets nauseating after awhile. Nothing is more depressing than watching an 85-year-old, chain-smoking grandma hooked up to an oxygen tank and furiously pumping quarters into TWO slot machines at once.

Strange thing about Vegas - you can be a completely rational individual and as soon as you get there you take leave of your senses.

That's why its important to find things to do off the strip - if you spend the whole day gambling, it can get very expensive. If you like thrill rides, check out the three unique roller coasters at the top of the Stratosphere or the bungee jump at Circus Circus. There's also a place where you can legally pop off a hundred rounds from a vintage Tommy Gun.

Las Vegas also has some good thrift stores if you're into antiquing. Better yet, take a trip to Hoover Dam and go on the tour. It's a fascinating piece of American history that everyone should see.

I've found that 4 days/5 nights is optimum. I've done everything from 36 hours to 8 nights in the city, and found that the 5 nights is perfect. Enough time to do anything you want to, but before you get overwhelmed and burnt out. (The constant activity in Vegas can make you wacky.)

Any season is "good" - but know this - the summer is HOT. It's easily 110 in the shade that time of year. I hear winters can be windy. Spring is usually a good time to go, but I was there last week and they were in the middle of a heat wave and were more than 10 degrees above normal temps - near 100 a day. Fall is also nice, but also can be VERY warm in September.

GO FOR AS MANY DAYS AS YOU CAN AFFORD. GOING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK WILL COST LESS THAT WEEEKEND STAYS, AND USUALLY WEEKEND ARE VERY TOURTIS LADEN.

THE CLUBS ARE ALL STILL GREAT SARTING WEDNESDAY THRU THE WEEKEND, PLUS YOU GET TO MEET SOME LOCAL PEOPLE WHO YOU MAY END UP BEING FRIEND AND THEY CAN SHOW YOU VEGAS FROM AN INSIDERS POINT OF VIEW.

ID NEVER GO ON A WEEKEND ONLY OR OVER A MAJOR HOLIDAY OR EVENT UNLESS IT WAS FREE.
THOSE TIMES ARE MORE COSTLY AND YOU ONLY GET THE EXTRAS - NEW YEARS EVE PARTY, BOXING MATCH IF YOU BUY YOUR TICKETS WHICH ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AT TIMES.

BEST AND MOST AFFORDABLE TIME TO GO IS NOVEMBER THRU DEC 26. PRICES ARE LOWER, AND LESS TOURIST, AND PRICESE TO GET INTO THE COOLEST CLUBS ARE LESS.

HAVE A GREAT TIME! JACKIE B

Hi VS,

If your going to gamble I'd say the weekend ( bring lot's $$$'s), but if you going to visit many attractions I'd say a week (not every1 gambles when they go). Best time is early spring or just before winter.
Hoover Dam, Coke bottling, Hard Rock Cafe's always fun to go to,
Catus Planet (varies catuses) at least that's what my oldest daughter called it, be sure you ride the monorail ( can go from 1 of town to the other-can decide what else to see),
helicopter rides (fun but kinda expensive), Penny Arcade & the street where they show video's overnight( sorry name escapes me).
Enjoy Vegas & have fun. :0)
