The writer of a book named "cures they don't want you to know" says things like that happen. They make you addict to their food, so that you never stop eating it.

What is your opinion about that?

I'll tell you how to stop. Order one of their sundaes. Bring it home. Sit it on the counter and leave it. The next morning it will be just like you left it. So it can't be ice cream can it? The hambergers brown after they are on the bun, what does that tell you. There is no telling what they put in there to keep you coming back but I'll bet it's there. I've gotten over them and KFC...won't go back to either of them.

Yes and no.

Do they add something to intentionally get you addicted to their food? No. They arent putting anything like a narcotic to entice you to continue eating. And no, no nicotine has ever been put in fast food. Thats a very bitter substance, and it would be costly to cover the taste.

HOWEVER, when you look at fast food, and the contents in it, you will generally see a higher volume of salt than in most home made foods. This comes in the form of pure salt as well as the sodium content in many of the other components. Many many people crave salt. So, they find that they can cure their cravings by eating the fast food.

So, in essence, yes, they do add something. Its just not the something that a lot of people want to believe.

As for the "the meat browns on the bun" comment? Yeah, thats technically partially true. But, have you ever had any sort of baked dish in the past? Residual cooking occurs when the internal temperature of an item continues the baking process. Look at fresh baked cookies. The same thing happens there. You take them out, and they continue to bake while they are cooling. You dont keep them in the oven until they are "ready" as they'll just turn hard as a rock when you let them cool.

I can't tell you if its true but you need to look at the body for what it is, a fuel burning machine. We store fat because your body doesn't know our society changed and we don't spend all day simply trying to get from meal to meal and survive death. Its storing fat for fuel because it won't allow itself to starve. When people go on starvation diets, the body will feed on muscle BEFORE it feeds on fat to keep its fat reserves. Fast food is high fat, sugar and salt and those three factors cause addiction. I would suggest you stop worrying if its a conspiracy and simply learn to cook. I suggest Cook's magazine and web site for the best instructions and recipes. Eat real food.

nah~ it's just EVERYWHERE. like in manhattan, every few blocks there's a mcdonalds- so it's convenient for ppl. plus, its cheap, and u dont have to pay tips like u have to in dining restaurants.
and its fast food. so if you're hungry and on the run, you get ur food fast.- same goes for all fast food- like pizza and tacos.

I've heard some weird theory here in France that they add anti-vomitives in the little white circle under the hamburger bun... without them you'd barf it all up... lol
