is it possible for someone to see when and what time you were on aol instant messenger.. i was online once and i told my parents i wasnt and they knew exactly what time i was on..? if so, how do you do this?

ur parents are logging you, hahaha. they most likely have a program installed that logs anything ranging from your exact convos to sign on times and duration. they may also be using a cyber-watch program that monitors aim, etc. you probably don't know much about computers, and ur parents do, so just dont do stupid stuff over aim. otherwise, get smart at computers, and disable the program/remove it.

they might also have been on aim and added you, without you knowing.

I'm not sure if the AOL program itself can show someone when you were on, but a way to do this is to have a keylogger. Your parents may have put on on the system in order to track every keystroke made.

Or maybe you were in some sort of open chat room and your parents were there under, say, TotallyNotSpying1983 or something.
