How does polar bear know what apples is?

The polar bear obviously knew what apples was, so don't give me this bull about polar bears only eating other animals.

all mammals love sugar it seems and apples have lots of the stuff

I doubt that polar bears know anything about apples. they eat mainly seals and other land animals.
