yes. Ozone is 3 atoms of oxygen joined together,normal oxygen is two. The less ozone there is the more Ultra Violet light gets in energizing oxygen to split. These single atoms of oxygen then usually unite with another single atom making a normal oxygen molecule, however a small percentage join a normal molecule and create more ozone.

ozone takes thousands of years to build up a substantial layer. You need three Oxygen ions to get togther and the main source of this is lightning. Humans can mnake ozone but the greenhouse gas emissions and warming that it would take to make sufficient ozone would be huge and counterproductive

You know she's saying that because the ozone layer is in deep sh*t right??

But back to the question, the ozone layer can regenerate itself, but it'll take years and decades.........WAY to long for us to survive in that kind of condition.
