she has material things that she needs and is such a wonderful daughter. I asked her what she wants and she said nothing really I dont need a thing. She lost her dad at age 16 & they were truly best friends. I dont know what I could get her that would really WOW her for graduation, I want it to be memorable, even though I know we will see this as another milestone in her life without her father. He was killed by a lady who took RX drugs and went out driving. OK back to the gift for my special daughter. THanks for your thoughts and ideas. be blessed

I know this sounds terrible, but as a student who just graduated yesterday I can tell you for sure that something like a scrapbook (although it would be very thoughtful) would not be the type of thing that a girl graduating would be WOWED by.
A trip would be amazing. I think maybe somewhere shes never been before, where she could visit things that are interesting to her. I think going somewhere to make new memories, especially on a big trip, is a big deal to young women and would be like a new step in her life.
This may not be AS memorable as a trip, but does she have a car? Cars are always a really big deal to young people. Especially when they are new and trendy, not used or an old old model. Good luck! Im sure whatever you get her will mean the world to her.

One of the best gifts ever for a daughter is one of those books where you can fill in your special memories, stories, etc. and give to her. Often there are places to record things that don't always come up in everyday conversation, but are things you always mean to say. She'll find new ways to treasure this throughout her life: when she becomes a mother, and a grandmother, and especially after you're gone. They have these at many bookstores or even Amazon.com. (If not for her graduation, perhaps her wedding?) Whatever you choose, all the best to you both.

Good Question. Why don't you both go on a neat cruise. That would make memories, and allow her to invite a friend. Then you could buy her a special little ring or something when you are in port somewhere, where gold is cheaper.

What I did for my daughter is I made her sort of a scrap book. I took all the old drawing that she gave me in grade school. Took the report cards and you know all the special things that made her remember her School history thus far and packaged it really pretty and gave it to her. She loved it all her friends were jealous they just sat there for hours laughing and pointing out them when they were younger....

Ps. Make sure you make a copy of all the things that you put in it.

You should take her on a trip. Maybe somewhere her and her father went when she was younger.
