You mean like in belly-dancing? There are 2 different kinds, and 3 different ways to do them. The shoulder shimmy is simple, and you will not end up with black eyes. (I have D cups, but cup size doesn't make a difference at all b/c you're not shimmying The Girls.) It's easier if you stand w/ one foot slightly ahead of the other, your elbows are down and your open palms are near your head and facing forward. Do not shake The Girls...just bend one shoulder forward at a time w/out turning your body. You can start slowly if you want just to see how it should be done, and then speed it up. Your hands pretty much stay put. THEN for the hip shimmy, one way (my favorite) is to stand w/ your feet almost together...the distance of one of your own feet. Lock your knees back and shift from one knee to the other really fast. Some people prefer to shimmy by keeping their elbows tucked by their sides, palms down and using them to help twist the shimmy. both ways are acceptable...do what fits your natural inclination. Anyway, those are the bellydance shimmies and I hope it helped. =)

Hi are you talking about shoulder shimmy or a full chest shimmy? If you have size D I think shoulder will be better for you. You learn all the shimmys in pretty much the same way - first isolate the muscle, get good control of it then speed it up.

Firstly get a broom or a long stick and hold it in frount of you with both hands (it will help you keep your arms still and your shoulders isolated).

It helps if you hold both shoulder blades slightly back. Isolate and push forward the left shoulder as your right goes back, without moving your arms or hands.

When you get this movement right, drop the broom and practise it in time to music until it's small and fast enough to be called a shimmy. Have a good time at the dance!

Hold out your arms diagonally, then shake your entire body in very short but very fast strokes and since you have d's I would say it will feel weird and maybe uncomfortable but hey that is the least of your worries.

1] hold both arms out straight to the sides.[ like balancing on a tightrope ]
2] 'wag' your shoulders like you are trying to shake your boobs at someone [ you will be! ]
Wear a bra so you don't put someone's eye out.
Write back if you need to know bumps and grinds...
