I have a Sharp Aquas HDTV that I would like to use a primary monitor for my Sony Vaio PCV-RX820. The TV has an S-video outlet but the computer does not, so I guess an S-video plug is out of the question. What would be the best option that would give the most clear resolution for everyday use.

Thanks!

You can add an AGP video card, finding one that has S-Video out should not be too hard.

However, I believe using S-Video is going to limit you to 480i, possibly 480p, so 640 by 480 if the TV is 4:3 or 848 by 480 if it is widescreen.

A HDTV should have other input connectors, like component input, then you need to find an AGP video card that is capable of component video out.
