Which DSL service would you say is the best, fastest, yet cheapest? I can't afford earthlink which sounds good because of spped, but i have a little bit of money.

EarthLink is offering broadband at $12.95/month for the first 6 months (check their site at http://www.earthlink.net). I don't think this is expensive at all... what price did you have in mind?

I am not sure about DSL but the cable companies offer good deals.

if you have cable tv, you might go for charter internet (although from my opinion, is horrible becasue it disconnects for no good reason frequently)
if you are not a super nerd that is obsessed with speed on 8 computers, get yahoo dsl, for it's cost, it is very good with it's speed.
go for yahoo dsl (and no they are not paying me to say this :P)

I thought they are all the same as ADSL variant (the consumer mass variant of DSL) the only question is degree of no-frillness that affect price.

I would probably just search the internet and see if they offer service in your area.

verizon dsl, is usually always the cheapest, and is very reliable -- if its in your area -- http://www22.verizon.com/content/ConsumerDSL/
