Man, I don't know about that, at all. Maybe over there, they're the cleanest. But some of my Japanese friends have been pretty nasty when it comes to housekeeping. I had this roommate one time, and she kept her cat litter in her room, and never changed it. Talk about nasty. Everytime she opened the door, the smell was horrendous.
So, it's hard to generalize who is the cleanest. There are slobs and neatniks in every culture.

In Japan an entire family will use the same bath water for up to 2 or 3 days. The water is reheated and only used to soak in after washing and rinsing outside the of bath, but personally I believe taking a shower is cleaner than climbing into a bathtub of water that others have used regardless of how clean the earlier users were when they got in.

Don't know that a certain culture has anything to do with being clean...maybe the availability of water would cause some people to be dirtier than others but given the opportunity of bathing every day and having things clean I believe most people would opt for being clean.

Well from what i thought or seen. I think middle eastern (muslim's) ppl are super duper clean. They pray five times a day, and befor each prayer they do this washing thing. So its like they bath five times a day. The women also belive that body hair is considered dirty so they often remove it.

Then you must be a real slob (you have to make the comparison somewhere).
It is all a matter of personal grooming. Your BF is better groomed than you. But there could someone of American, British, German etc background who is just as well groomed.

he prolly thinks that just because bathing is such a big part of japanese culture. but that does not make them cleaner than other cultures my dear, that just makes them more pruney.
cleansliness and neatness comes from individuals not really from cultures.

Well not if you factor in the fact that they sell used pantys from teenage girls to perverts, right on the street in kiosks.
