Did the Robinsons ever reach home before the evil Television Programmers cancelled them forever?

No. The last episode (in 1968) was called "Junkyard in Space," and the Robinsons weren't anywhere close to home. There was one episode where Will gets back to Earth through some kind of portal, but then returns to his family. In another, Dr. Smith gets to re-live the day when he stowed away on the Jupiter 2. At first he decided to change the past and not sneak aboard, but at the last minute realized he would miss the others (especially Will) too much.

P.S. I looked up the last episode on the net, but remembered the other two episodes. Am I a geek or what?

no. They are forever lost in space. Of course there was the remake of with the movie, but even they didn't make it home. Besides, in the first episode when they did have the opportunity to turn back, the family decided that even though they were on the wrong course, they were out there to explore and settle a new colony, so they never were trying to "go back", just to find a place to live. (Dr. Smith voted to return to Earth, but was out voted)
