I hope to get an answer from every state. haha
I live in Wisconsin. Green Bay Wisconsin.. I really hate it. It's a great place to live.. it's beautiful, and safe, and not very busy... but holy crap, there is absolutely nothing to do. I dont understand any of the people here! it seems like everyone in my age group is hopeless. The only thing to do here is go to movies, parties, bowling, and packer games. I try to take this place for all its worth by exploring the out doors, and trying to find the good in it.. but so far I have only come out victorious a couple of times, and then it gets boring.
I'd like to move. I want to know where you live, and the good and bad about it.

Apalachicola, Fl. I'm from Fred'bg Va. It's like a retirement community here. Shops close early. No real stores - for 45min's one way 2hrs. the other. BORING!!! I'm getting ready to move again. This area is pretty and there's nature. I still can't stand it. Fredericksburg Va is expensive in some ways (rent/ housing, especially) However, they are good opportunities there, Some stores and restaurants are open 24 hrs., it's busy and has some rude and very busy people, But I recommend it. There are things to do within an hour of there. It's growing, constantly. There's still nature and the water. And there's a whole lot more. No matter where I move to. I'm going to travel. I've always wanted to. Where there's a will there's a way! As far as you moving, save your money- it's not cheap. Oh yea, Traffic in Fred'brg sucks!! But it's better than getting behind someone going 25 in a 55 mph zone!! Crimes everywhere. You just hear about it more in big cities, because there are more people. Good luck!

I live in small town, Harlan, IA.

I like it here because my family is here, it's a VERY clean town, and the living is a bit cheaper than larger cities.

I dislike that we don't have certain luxuries such as a Walmart or Target Store. We have Pamida, which is similar, but not near as good. We don't have a large range of restaurants to choose from so if you get a craving for Taco Bell, you're out of luck. There's not really any public transportation (I don't have a car) so I have to get people to take me places and I can't go when it's convienient (sp?) for me. The entertainment is lacking. We have a movie theatre and a crappy bowling alley. Not mention that since I lived away from this town for a couple years, none of my previous acquaintances remember me.

However, since I am having a baby soon, I am very happy that I'll be away from the city (used to live in Omaha, NE) and all of the crime there. Also, Iowa has better school systems than some of the surrounding states, and that's a plus. And I really want my family to be near since I want my child to grow up with grandparents. The only downside to this is that some people in my extended family annoy the crap out of me - but hey, what do ya do?

You need some adventure because you are young and bored and that's OK. I live in Indonesia and I was born in Ohio in the USA. I am 67 years old and never felt as you do because somehow, I knew from the day I was born, that the world is the same the world over....and it is. People here laugh and cry at the same things we do. The buildings are made of metal girders and concrete, just like in the USA. People are born and die, it's the rule the world over. People here wonder about the USA with the streets paved in gold and I tell them that's a lie. The natives here are happy to be alive and glorify in their children and to have a job that provides for their family is enough for them. They are innocent and grateful. Mind you, this is not a lecture but just some information to let you know about the world I live in. I think a good thing for you is to satisfy your boredom by reading about the world and doing the best you can in school to build for your future. Be an archealogist and explore the world on grant money.......beats having kids and getting bored and frustrated. Or train to be a social worker and volunteer your services to some world organization. You know, youth is always impatient, that's understandable, but, your question is a positive one and tells volumes about how you are concerned about your future. Go forward.....the world needs you........ Good luck in life.

I live in NC. It's great here. I live in the middle of the state so it takes the same amount of time to travel to the beach or the mountains. The sky's are a beautiful carolina blue most days.
The food is great especially our BBQ, I mean the real stuff, pulled pork or beef, not just burgers fixed on a grill. We have sweet tea, yummie! You have the city where there is plenty to do, but you can live in the quiet outside the city too. We have the BEST college basketball teams. Carolina, duke, need I say more. Can't realy think of anything bad, except our NBA team, and unemployment rate seems to be going up. Anyway, I have lived in NC, SC, OH, and CA, and NC is by far the best.

I live in Omaha, NE but also Lived in Lincoln, NE for 5 years. This state sucks!!! I hate the cold and I love the sun and water. If you don't mind cold winters and 100 degree summer, this is not the place to live. There is quite a bit of nightlife in both towns because of the colleges.

I live in NW Ohio. It sucks. Hard. There is nothing to do for people my age. Most folks either go to Detroit (1 hour away) or Cleveland (2 hours away) or Columbus (2.5 hours away) for something interesting to do. So that's what I dislike about it.
What I like about it is that it's not too big and it's not too small. AND I'm really close to Detroit, Cleveland and Columbus. LOL!! :-P

I live in North Carolina. I hate the humidity that we have in the summer. However, I can't complain too much. My in laws are in southwest GA and it is much worse there during the summer than in NC. I love that we have both the mountains and beach in NC as vacation spots. I guess I can always head to the mts to escape some of the summer humidity.

Man, I live in Wicker Park, Chicago. It's probably the most vibrant neighborhood between Greenwich Village and Venice Beach and my stoopid-azz friends still b i t c h about the scene. Ultimately you have to make your own fun no matter where you are.
