I have the same problem when I use a toilet seat cover. Without the cover, there is no problem.

With the cover on, I just lift and slide the top/cover of the holding tank back slightly giving you that little extra room for the seat.

The holes that the seat bolts go through are usually a lot larger than the bolts. Loosen the nuts on the seat bolts and slide the seat away from the tank. Tighten up the nuts and see if that works.

First take off any decorative items from the lid and the tank. If that doesn't solve the problem get some velcro tabs, you can find small dots that are sticky and put one on each of the connecting touching areas).

Get 2 small magnets from a furniture store.Kudos to you if you happen to have a couple liying around.Krazy Glue one to the toilet seat, one to the wall/tank/wherever it's supposed to stay up.

PS: Don't use the toilet until the glue has dried ;)

What ever you do, do not use Velcro if you have pubic hair. LOL

You can tighten the bolts that hold the seat or replace both of them.
