Even if you agreed on an amount, it's how you pay for it through the state. It's a way for the state to keep up with the payments. Good luck!
It sucks for men. I have custody of two girls from my first ex and pay child support for a child from my second ex. Guess what? I never got a penny from my first ex and the state doesn't care because she's a woman. God help me if I don't pay for mine. I've raised them from babies. The first one is now 18. Thanks ex troll!

When you file for divorce and children are involved they will send child support papers. Contact the case manager and explain that you have agreed in the terms of your divorce how much child support you are going to pay. Now the best way to do it is pay through child support, never hand her money she can say that you did not pay her and any money you give is considered a GIFT and you then have to pay the amount to her again. So contact he case manager and do what they tell you it is going to cover your butt in the end and make sure your children receive the money you are paying.

This is so that the child support will be paid directly from the paycheck. The pin number is for the ATM/Debit type card they give you (or your ex, whoever is gaining child support) for collecting the child support. The Office of Child Support Enforcement will keep records of what is paid. It's good to have this so there's no arguments later. Still it sounds great that you and your ex could agree on this as well.

If you are getting public assistance of any kind they automattically set up a child support case for the child. They feel that the child support is the childs and not something that can be bargained with. This way they make sure that your ex will pay. It is not a bad deal so dont sweat it.

They are just giving you information on the case. Consider it an account number. There may be other papers coming to for you to list all your bank accounts, holdings, etc. Employment and notifications of any orders they are issuing regarding health care etc.

The will may also be informational papers outlining when you need to let them know certain things and sample forms to send changes back to them on.

Don't sweat it, it's normal.

Don,t sound so worried,if your paying the same amount that you both agreed to,you really don,t have a problem, she,s making it legal to ensure that she,ll get it no matter what, the only draw back is,if she says she can,t manage on the amount your paying, rather than have words with you,she can have it put up through the court.she,s made it secure for herself and chid(ren).if the system is anything like here in england you,ll pay.sorry,it,s probably not what you wanted to hear, divorce is very stressfull, especially if you have children.

When you get divorced and you have children the state automatically sends you paperwork. Just tell the judge that you and the ex have made arrangements and as long as you both agree to that, everything should be fine. Good Luck on the divorce!

If she applied for welfare, the state can go in to collect what they are paying. If the amount you agreed to is significantly less than the calculated child suppport, you could get hung with the difference. For the state to be involved at this point, something else is going on. Per your statement, you are in compliance with your agreement so something else is in the works. Make the call and check the site. TED

Sounds like you have already been ordered by the courts to pay child support.
Never trust an oral agreement.
