I sing a lot of country but love mostly all music. Usually guys that try to act macho say they hate Country music. Why is that?

I like old country Loretty Lynn, Bobbie Gentry, John Conley, etc...I can't stand the sound of new country (I consider new country anything past 1989).

I like country music... lol, cowboys are usually more macho than most of the American's I know. If macho means manly, firm handshake, loves Jesus, polite to women, children and the elderly, and carries a gun for personal protection, then yeah, I like country and I am macho.
Don't know why guys don't think county isn't macho...

Hmmm...I love Country music. I kinda notice that men who listen to Country Music are some of the most easy going guys. No macho attitudes here, we don't need it, our hearts make us tough, macho etc,,,,,

Its because alot of country music songs have alot to do with "feelings" and most so called "macho" guys will not admit they have them. The best bet is to find a guy mature enough to admit that YES guys cry and we do have feelings.

I hate it.
Its not because I'm trying to be macho either, I'm more of a femme than anything. I just can't stand hearing about some brain dead hillbilly leaving his wife for the family pig, or how he got thrown in detox for getting drunk and raping the mechanical bull at a rodeo bar.
I prefer experimental/progressive music and New Age. Like Kitaro, Jethro Tull and U2

I don't know why that is. It could be the age of the guys you talk to. I my self love country music. It is good to find some one that is more like you and likes more that one type of music.

I like country music. Some country music is very masculine. I think the reason a lot of people don't like it is because it seems too simple. I guess I'm a simple guy. lol.

No guys don't like country music. Because hip-hop is the
most popular music of today. Guys today would rather
want to listen to hip-hop than country.

As for liking or not liking country music, I can say that I love it. I like most all music, however, Country music is my most favorite. That is def. something I'm not afraid to admit.
