Because they want a stupid bimbo that will do anything for some spending money and there is no nagging or talking required. This is not prostitution it is known as being a suage daddy and women being golddiggers

They usually want the arm candy as well.

Yes, what you describe, if it existed, does sound like prostitution. However, I don't personally know anybody like that. Do you? In almost all cases in the real world there are feelings involved, whether it's love, respect, friendship, or even just admiration or lust. I think you've been watching too many daytime dramas.

Well, if prostitution is the exchange of money for sex, then yes -- this type of marriage probably falls into that category.

For whatever reason, our society doesn't quite see it that way. Since marriage is a sacred union, it could never equal prostitution, right? ;-)
