Metric System vs. standard system... yes. but both varieties are available

Most American tools are standard like 9/16 or 1/4 and most European tools are metric like 13mm or 19mm. There is a slight difference in size, but it depends on what you're working on. A hammer is a hammer no matter where it came from

OK, they're wire cutters.......and don't forget to get the special tool to tighten the loose nut in front of the steering wheel...very common problem.

absolutely.European is metric, America is inch........and while some stuff is close, a 12mm wrench really isnt 1/2 an inch and it will drive you cocoo

not that i know of. europe is metric, and america is metric AND inches, forgot the name for ours, but you know what i mean. however, i have yet to find a metric pair of pliars.
