I had 3-d ultra sound last week and they said she is in the breech position. I was wondering if anyone else had the same thing and did your baby turn in time to have avaginal delivery. I was planning on having VBAC this time and i am afraid i will have to have another C-section if she doesn't turn. THat was the worst experience of my life. I would totally like to avoid Major surgery if possible. Just getting nervous

Your baby still has plenty of time and room to turn at 32 weeks.

There are also exercises that you can do to try and help your baby turn.

Talk to your doctor about them first to make sure the cord isn't an issue.

According to "What to Expect When You're Expecting," most babies turn between 32 and 36 weeks, "but a few keep their parents and doctors guessing until only a few days before delivery." So, you should still have plenty of time for the baby to turn!

If she's still being stubborn, you may be able to have an external version done; this actually works better in second or subsequent pregnancies than in the first! The doctor will use an ultrasound to make sure the cord doesn't get compressed or anything, and will massage the baby around into a head-down position.

I have heard that it can be somewhat painful, though, so be forewarned! But, talk to your doctor about it; if you've already discussed a VBAC, then I'm sure she's willing to help you avoid another c-section.

Good luck!

Sorry for your bad experience. Our daughter had her 6th child who was breech. She had a C-section and was fine. The doctor tried to manipulate before birth but was unable to. Chiropractor was suggested but there wasn't time since she was almost due. Your baby still might turn--with help--since you still have a few weeks to go. Would a different doctor be an option? Praying for a good experience and healthy baby.

there is plenty of time. my baby was breach around same time as you and turned at 39 weeks. Don't get hung up on the baby turning though because even if it does it doesn't assure you a vaginal delivery. I ended up having a c-sec anyway which was not ideal, but it was not a bad experience.
Just remember every single birth is different and that includes c-sec births.
But fingers crossed you will have the birth you want without too many interventions. x

YES she still has time to turn my children didn't turn till almost 38 weeks

On a happy note a repeat c-sec is not as bad as the first trust me I have had 3 now

And I agree that first one was awful I nearly scratched my nose off and i could not move with out feeling like my guts where going to pour out or like i was being ripped open but it didn't hurt near as bad the second time and the 3rd hell i left the hospital at 48hrs exactly

Yes she still has time to turn. Mine was breech up to 35 weeks and 5 days. I was going to the dr and the day before she turned. Don't worry yourself.

hi, well the thruth is that the baby has plenty of time to turn. my baby was breech up to the 36 week and she turned fine. don't worry about it she will likely turn by your delivery date. by the way most babys are breech at that age cuz they still have plenty of room to move around. so don't worry about it.

My son did turn around but since his head was to big I had to have a c-section for my first born. But you are due in or about another 6-8 weeks. your child should turn by then. It will feel like a contraction but it's not.

Crazie as it sounds baby can change positions until she is born.
I had a csection and I was thankful after my water breaking at 2am and pitocing giving to me 2 times both making my son and my heart rate drop to where I was shaking. themn at 3 PM they decided to do the csection. I was awake they used an epidural to numb me, and I felt pressure, tugging and heard my son cry for the first time. The best thing was it took 15 minutes the entire time cutting me open to sewing me up. I seen my baby and The worse part was you have to wait until you can move your feet before you can hold your baby, I had to wait almost 2 hours But they gave me 1 more does at the end because it was wearing off just as they were stapling me up. I was sooo numb they moved my leg and I seriously was watching them and thought my leg was still on the table.
And the healing is the absolute worse. I couldnt stand up straight and I dont take drugs so I didnt use anything to help the pain, laying on my side was the best. And you can't have food until you pass gas or water.they give you ice chips and wow those tasted great. But I am excited because next time I have to have one and I wont have to feel contraction be inthere all day have stictches down stairs and push end up with blood shot eyes, bruises on the face pooing on the table all from pushing. my sister in law had her son 3 months before mine and we compared. because I didnt get to push. She still has problems having sex, and when she had an epsiodomy they sewed too much in so she had to be re cut (no numbing) snd sewed. she is still loosing babyfat and I got a cheap tummy tuck lol. I prefer csection now. dont get me wrong I was scarred when they told me I needed one I was crying my husband cried the family cried all because we were scarred and I was crying. and it was not bad.

Yes, you still have time for the baby to turn. My mom is a maternity nurse and I've heard her say something about the Dr. can attempt to turn the baby too - not sure how its done though.
