Ive always wanted to get into painting murals,my step mom said that it would be a good step for me in my artist career.well now i have an opp to do so.. im just stumped on how much to charge.. i read somewhere that you can charge 15$usd a squar foot for medium detail.less for low detail and more for higher or you can go by the hour.about 30$ an hour starting off. what would you suggest... the room is going to be 90 squar feet.just one wall.and they want pokemon wich i would think is medium detail.. what would be a good price for that and wich would you chose hourly or flate rate?

Most people would want you to provide a flat rate. The square feet of the room is not relevant. It's the square feet of the wall that counts.

If this is your first job, then come in with a low estimate. Take some pictures of the mural (in various stages of completion) and add them to your portfolio.
