America: lousy public transportation; cheaper gas; larger, less economic cars; terrible terrible drivers.
Europe: excellent public transportation; far more expensive gas; more economic cars; overall much better drivers (especially in Germany).
America: cheaper housing options; greater abundance of land; horrid traffic at all times of day; horrid urban sprawl.
Europe: horribly expensive housing options; available land is scarce in most cases (depending on the country); traffic is usually good except during rush hour; urban sprawl is controlled or nonexistent, despite the relatively high populations for each country (compared to comparably-sized American states).
America: Crime and personal safety are highly dependent on where you are; typically, large, poorer areas in and around large cities are not too safe, to say the least. Rural areas in contrast tend to be so safe that many people still don't lock their cars or front doors at night.
Europe: Overall, better safety and less violent crime in comparably-sized cities; large cities are generally safer to walk around, explore, and visit, not to mention better set up for visitors. Still, poorer areas near/in large cities are less safe, but safer than their American counterparts, generally.
OVERALL: neither is better than the other, since both the U.S., which is only one large country, and Europe, which is many smaller countries, are completely different. There are plenty of good things and plenty of bad things to compare between the two, and it's not really a good idea to overgeneralize and say one's better than the other.
(Footnote: there's absolutely no question that both are far, far better places to live than Mesopotamia. If you don't know where that is, you probably shouldn't be asking geographically-specific questions in the first place.) ;-)

As a world traveler, I must say (sorry) that the USA is running to a economy and social disaster, because when you think you are better, that is the moment to start looking around you, because a lot can change (sometimes) in few days or months.. The majority of the yong Americans dont know or not realizing it, that there are other cultures and like Europe with
much more experiences...Don´t forget that USA is only a little bit older than 500 years! So this is my opinion...

Europe is a lot better people are more mature and a lot friendlier. America is a place where you get treated based on your financial status that to me is so shallow

i contemplate whether the presence of Christians motives larger crime rates, or the intense crime rates reason larger Christianity, or if the two factors stem from an identical source yet are not causally appropriate themselves. i may well be greater possibly to wager the latter, and say that the two stem from a regular bigotry and absence of empathy for out-communities contemporary in individuals greater suitable than Europeans. this might stem from the individualistic, "come right here and earn a fortune consisting of your guy or woman 2 arms, and no you will allow you to comprehend to proportion" mentality that has consistently been contemporary in us of a of america.

The fact that you consider Europe to be just one country would suggest if you were travel through it you would discover the vast diversity of peoples and cultures, independent nation states that are not governed by one central policy maker.

depends on what you are looking for
Eurpoe has the History, old cities, and unique cultures and some unique freedoms we dont enjoy in America (like legalized pot in Amsterdam)
America has more liberties (gun laws, medical care etc) and is a melting pot of many cultures. the cities are fairly new as well.
both are great places though
It all depends on your preference.

hard to decide.
EU: many countries in one small area- diversity in terms of culture. Every coutnry has its own beauty in EU
America- probably richer and more open, friendly. Land of dreams!
