Because if it is true, I think they are making a big mistake. Not exactly who they are putting in it, but the fact that they are remaking it in the first place. No one can do it better than Richard O'Brian

Oh I hope not!!! Nobody can do it better than Tim Curry!! As a matter of fact, I can't look at him the same anymore since I've seen the movie. I laugh every time! LOL!!

Unfortunately nothing is sacred in the movie world anymore. The big boys are in talks to do a remake. Though Richard O'Brien is writing a sequel to the orginal play as we speak it is undecided if it will be produced into a film as yet.
Fingers crossed this is one masterpiece they won't attempt to remake.

So far, all of the remakes in Hollywood has been horrendous. If Rocky Horror Picture Show was remade and it sucked, they would never hear the last of it. It's best if the movie wasn't remade at all. They are some movies Hollywood can re-do and there are some that is "hands off", and this movie is one of them.

He was approached for the role but nothing is certain yet. You can go to the link and read for yourself. I looked up his IMDB profile and there is nothing there for RHPS even in preproduction. So that probobly means they can't get a good enough cast together. Or too many people poo poo-ed the idea.

I have not heard that anywhere. That movie is so great they could never do as good with a remake no matter who they cast.

it would be stupid, b/c you can't duplicate that movie. They will probably make it commercial and cheesy.
