Actually, there was a lady selling a property for $5000 asking if there were any takers yesterday on Yahoo Answers. See if you can find her.

I helped a buyer buy a house a few years ago for $6,000...... but 5k seems a bit low :)

There are pieces of vacant land in that price range in the San Antonio area. But the reality is that you usually get what you pay for.
