With this immigration bill I am thinking McCain's nominaton fight is effectively over. He can not possibly get the nomination now.
...so of the top tier folks that leaves only Romney.
(not saying second tier...such as Paul couldn't surprise us).

Agree or disagree?

I'm not a Republican, but as a person whos followed politics and Presidential politics for quite some time, I can tell you that McCain's Presidential run was over before it began. He never had a snowballs chance in hell and now its even more hopeless than that. It starts like this, then fewer and fewer people vote for him in the polls, fewer and fewer take interest and donate to him, and then he drops out to "spend more time with his family".

I am not a Republican, but I live in Arizona, where he obviously enjoys a lot of support. Even here, I think most people just think that he is too old. Americans are concerned about the health and probable longevity of presidential candidates.

I don't really think he has a chance. I am Democrat, and I thought he seemsed at least like a straight guy until he totally changed his tune and started parroting the Rep talking points. It didn't bother me that I didn't agree with all of his points when I believed at least he had the interest of the American citizen at heart. I don't see that anymore. A shame.

McCain plays footsy much to much with very dangerous people like Ted. He has lost all the possibility of ever being elected.

When pigs fly and when bush finds Osama(i.e. never). That's when McCain will have a change of getting the nomination. He's to in the middle for most republicans.

Honesty, no. I think his time has past. He probably would have had a chance in 2000 had Karl Rove not played his little game... but that's behind us now.

He could have a chance. He'll get a few votes, maybe win SC, but I'm not laying any bets on him.

Not with me he doesn't. He can go back to Arizona...if they'll have him.
